By setting the rules of holiday calculation you can establish holiday lump sum entitlement of your employees or specify individual dependencies of calculations in relation to the customary practice in your company. You can set the number of holiday days in a calendar year in the standard way or you can determine the number of days based on the employee's age or based on the length of the employment relation.
How to:
- click on "Add holiday yearly deposit rule"
- Name: NAMING / TITLE – we recommend a short, fitting name
- Description: option of a more detailed description – not required
- Type of a rule of holiday entitlement: After choosing between a fixed holiday entitlement rule, holiday entitlement based on the employee's age and a rule of holiday entitlement based on the employment relation length another table with condition settings will open.
- Fixed rule of holiday entitlement: It determines a fixed holiday lump sum without any relation to other factors.
Example Employee is entitled to 20 days of holiday per calendar year.
- Holiday entitlement based on an employee's age: The basic fixed sum will be modified based on chosen parameters.
Example: The employee is entitled to 20 days of holiday per calendar year if their age is between 18 - 24 years old, 22 days if they are 25 - 19 years old and 25 days if they are 30 years old.
- Rule of holiday entitlement based on the employment relation length
Example: After 5 years of an employment relation the employee is entitled to 22 days of holiday. After 10 years of an employment relation they are then entitled to 25 days of holiday.
